Yashasvi Jaiswal has been the talk of the town in IPL 2023. The left-hander has amassed 575 runs in 12 matches at an average of 52.27. He is second on the Orange Cap list. The Mumbai player has not only proven that he has got what it takes to do well just by his IPL record but also by his stellar domestic record as well. On Thursday Jaiswal wrote his name into the record book as he scored the fastest IPL fifty off just 13 balls. He tore the KKR bowling attack to shreds.
Amidst his IPL heroics, an old video clip of his interview with Aakash Chopra has resurfaced on social media. It has again garnered attention and has been doing rounds on the internet. In the clip, Jaiswal could be seen talking to Chopra about his early struggles in Mumbai. In the video, he says he did not have a proper place to sleep except a tent. But he waded through all the hard times and turned his life around completely.
Here is the video:

It has not been an easy life for Jaiswal as he has had to sleep in tents and sell street food to make ends meet. He has come up from humble beginnings and is now weaving his magic on the world stage. The 21-year-old also brought up his first IPL hundred this season as he slammed a cracking 124 off 62 balls and wowed the Wankhede crowd with his spectacular stroke play.
Rajasthan Royals were at their best when they played against KKR. Their fielding was top-notch. This allowed them to constantly keep up the pressure against their opponents. The bowlers bowled according to their plans. Yuzvendra Chahal was on song. He took a four-wicket haul and also became the leading wicket-taker in the history of the IPL.
RR were on a down slope as they had lost five out of their last six games. The Sanju Samson-led side got a much-needed win to get their IPL 2023 campaign back on track. RR will be looking to get their second IPL title. They were the inaugural champions in 2008. KKR on the other hand suffered a huge loss.
