During an ODI of the CB Series in 2012, Indian captain MS Dhoni stumped Australia batsman Michael Hussey off Suresh Rahman. The decision was referred to third umpire Bruce Oxenford by the square-leg umpire. The third umpire first declared Hussey to be out and the Australian batter started walking back to the dugout.

However, on-field umpires including Billy Bowden asked Hussey to stay back to which the Indian skipper was not amused. Dhoni had a lengthy chat with the umpires on the decision to call back the batter. On inquiry, he was told that the TV umpire had pressed the wrong button by mistake. The Ranchi-born cricketer was infuriated at the error made by the third umpire.
