The Lucknow franchise launched its new jersey for the 2023 edition of the Indian T20 League on Tuesday . The jersey bears a very distinct look as compared to the one in 2022. They have gone for a darker shade of blue with red and black stripes and a shade of red in the center to complement the blue. The jersey last year had a shade of cyan which was made as a tribute to the doctors who had helped in the covid pandemic.

The jersey last year bore the colour of a face mask. The Lucknow franchise played its inaugural Indian T20 League season in 2022. Lucknow won nine matches and lost five of them in the last Indian T20 League edition. The franchise had also slightly revamped its side ahead of the 2023 Indian T20 League edition.

Lucknow brought in Amit Mishra and Jaydev Unadkat for Indian T20 League 2023

The KL Rahul-led side brought in the likes of Amit Mishra, who is an experienced warhorse in the Indian T20 League and has picked up three hat tricks in the competition. The side also brought the likes of Nicholas Pooran as a batter who can hit big in the middle order and also as someone who can keep wickets for the side.

The other purchases include Australia all-rounder Daniel Sams, who was a big hit for the Mumbai franchise especially in the latter part of the season with his left-arm bowling and also with his big hitting power as a right-handed middle-order batter.

Naveen-ul-Haq, the Afghanistan cricketer has been a T20 globetrotter around the world and has played in various T20 Leagues such as the Caribbean Premier League and at the Shpageeza League at home.

The big Indian purchase for Lucknow this season has been the inclusion of Jaydev Unadkat. The Saurashtra-born left-arm bowler has recently led the side to a Ranji Trophy triumph. He had led the side to a Vijay Hazare title as well. Unadkat has been part of teams like Rajasthan, Kolkata, Bangalore and Pune in the Indian T20 League.
