The Rajasthan Royals social media administrator is well-liked by fans for their wit and quick comebacks. The social media team of the inaugural champions was at it once again after the game against Punjab Kings at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati in Indian Premier League 2023

After the match, a fan took to Twitter to troll the Rajasthan team and Punjab teams by posting a photo of the stands, marking all the empty portions. “Teams like RR and PBKS are irrelevant in IPL, no doubt why Star sports shows CSK, MI and RCB highlights whole day,” he wrote in the caption.

The Royals’ official Twitter handle took this opportunity to hit back at the troll. They posted a photo of the stand that was packed with spectators and marked it with a heart. “Okay,” they wrote in reply to the troll’s tweet.

In the meantime, the team led by Sanju Samson has had mixed tournament so far. They have played two games this season, against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings. While they convincingly won the game against Hyderabad by 72 runs, they lost the thrilling match against Punjab by 5 runs.

Shikhar Dhawan and Prabhsimran Singh combined for 63 runs in the first six overs to help Punjab get off to a fast start. Prabhsimran went on to score a scintillating 64 off 34 balls, while Dhawan scored 86 runs in 56 balls. While Punjab lost a few regular wickets after that, Dhawan’s brilliance ensured they managed a high score on the board. They scored 197/4 in their allotted 20 overs. For the Royals, Jason Holder took two wickets in the innings, while Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal took one each.

Rajasthan got off to a shaky start in the chase, losing three wickets in the first six overs. The Royals tried something new by sending Ashwin to open the inning with Yashasvi Jaiswal, but it didn’t work. Apart from a hard-fought knock by Sanju Samson (42 runs in 25 balls) and cameos by Shimron Hetmyer (36 runs in 18 balls) and Dhruv Jurel (32 runs in 15 balls), nobody could do much. Eventually, Rajasthan was restricted to 192/7.
