The 37th match of the Indian Premier League took place at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium. The Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings were the two teams that went up against each other in the clash. The coin went the way of RR and they elected to bat first. The pitch at Jaipur was a good track to bat on and Yashasvi Jaiswal showed just that. The left-hander made use of batting at the top of the order.

He made a cracking 77 off 43 balls with eight fours and four sixes. His innings gave RR the impetus that they needed. The 21-year-old took to the CSK bowlers and put away the loose balls. Jaiswal got support from the other RR batters. Jos Buttler made 27 off 21 balls with four fours. Sanju Samson and Shimron Hetmyer did not trouble the scorers as they both departed very quickly.

Rajasthan Royals scored 202-5 in their 20 overs against CSK at Jaipur

Dhruv Jurel made a cracking 34 off 15 balls with three fours and two sixes. Devdutt Padikkal also proved to be an able partner as he stitched an unbeaten 27 off 13 balls with five fours. These contributions gave the perfect finish for RR as they ended up with 202-5 in their 20 overs. This is the highest score made batting first at the SMS stadium. The previous highest score was 197.

In the second innings, Devon Conway was the first to go as he fell to Adam Zampa. Ruturaj Gaikwad got off to a good start and made 47 off 29 balls with five fours and one six. He was scalped up by Zampa and could not convert the start. The in-form Ajinkya Rahane and experienced Ambati Rayudu were Ravichandran Ashwin’s victims. RR had CSK on the mat at 84-4.

Moeen Ali and Shivam Dube got CSK back into the game with a 51-run partnership. But just as CSK were looking to accelerate, Zampa dismissed Moeen to break the partnership. But Dube continued on and made 52 off 33 balls with two fours and four sixes. Ultimately, the target was too steep for CSK as they lost to RR by 32 runs.
