Virat Kohli put out a cryptic Instagram post following RCB’s 18 run win over LSG. This happened after a mad showdown with Afghanistan bowler Naveen ul Haq. Fines were slapped on Gautam Gambhir and Kohli and also on Naveen. Gambhir and Kohli were fined 100% off their match fees while Naveen was fined with 50%. This heated exchange took place between them after the match culminated.

Kohli put out a quote which was attributed to Marcus Aurelius which said,  “Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth.” To which Naveen had put out his own post in reply which said, “You get what you deserve that’s how it should be and that’s how it goes,” the Afghan bowler wrote on his Instagram story.

Glenn Maxwell had to step in to calm things down between Kohli and Naveen ul Haq

After RCB managed to defeat LSG in a close encounter at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, other players had to barge in to separate both the players when handshakes took place after the match. Naveen shook or rather gripped at Kohli’s hand very tightly as he refused to let it go. The Afghan mouthed in some words before Kohli shook his hand out. Right after this happened, Kohli looked to move away from Naveen and took a few steps away from him.

This angered Naveen to such an extent where things were about to get serious. But Glenn Maxwell came in at the right time and cooled down things. He also made sure that Kohli and Naveen do not get near each other and end up starting another confrontation. The conditions at Lucknow were wonderful for the bowlers but it was tough going for the batters. RCB somehow huffed and puffed to 126-9 in their 20 overs.

In the run chase, LSG just could not put the foot on the accelerator as they lost wickets at regular intervals. LSG could not get a partnership going. They were not allowed to break free by the RCB bowlers. Josh Hazelwood and Karn Sharma were the best of the lot for RCB as they picked up two wickets each in their respective spells.
