The Indian Cricket Board and the Apex Cricket Council are two of the biggest administration boards in the world. The growth of Indian cricket has become so vast that there have been ex-Indian Cricket Board chairmen who have gone on to be one of the important members of the council as well. The Apex Council was an organization which was established a long time ago to take care of the whole cricketing fraternity involved. The Indian cricket board on the other hand are responsible for the success of the Indian Cricket team where they have groomed a lot of talented players to create a champion side.

One of the most popular cricket administrators right now is Jay Shah who is currently the Indian Cricket Board secretary and the president of the Asian Cricket Council(ACC). He is also one of the committee members of the Indian Premier League(IPL), and is also the son of current Home Minister Amit Shah. He came into the cricketing scene once he was appointed as the joint secretary of the Gujarat Cricket Association(GCA) and has been involved in the sport for a very long time now. It has been more than 5 years since he has been the secretary and 3 years since he was appointed in charge of the ACC as well.

Jay Shah to run for Apex Council chairmanship

The news has finally come out that Shah will now be running for the highest position in the biggest cricket administration organization in the world. Shah will be running for the position of the Apex Council’s chairman in November. This will be another big move for him after already being in a high position in the Indian Cricket Board and the ACC. There have been mixed reactions from the fans regarding this news where some trust Shah in the position while some feel there will be an Indian bias in the council.

It should be a proud moment for Shah to get this opportunity to achieve the highest position in cricketing administration right now. There will be people who will feel he is not cut out for the position and there will be people who will like to see an Indian at the helm of affairs.
