India won the second Test at Cape Town by 7 wickets. Before it could happen, a conversation between two Indian cricketers has gone viral on the internet. Rohit Sharma’s conversation with Mohammad Siraj was recorded on a stump mic before taking DRS against South Africa. It was the first session of the second day between India and SA. The visiting side was just one wicket away from dismissing SA.
After 34 overs, South Africa were reduced to 164/9. India needed just a wicket to wrap up the things. That was when Mohammad Siraj was brought on to the attack. As Siraj bowled well and tried to get rid of the batter, a close call was turned down by the umpires. As per the procedure, the Indian captain came up to the bowler and had a conversation regarding the DRS.

The recorded version of the same on the stump mic has gone viral on social media. in the video, Rohit was seen telling Siraj that he would take the DRS, as all the 3 reviews from the bowling side were left to be used. Siraj replied by agreeing to the decision of Rohit. The conversation of Rohit and Siraj is trending on X, as it involved a slang which was relatable to the fans.
India tie Test series against South Africa
In the viral video, Rohit was seen telling Siraj “Le leta hoon. Maa ch****ne gaya. Teen teen hai,” meaning that there were 3 reviews left to be used. Siraj replied to it saying “Haan. Lele lele. Kya pata inside edge laga ho!” It meant that Mohammad Siraj hoped for an inside edge on the review. The conversation happened between the two as the timer was running in the background.
As it turned out, India dismissed SA to a below par score. The target for India in the Test match was just 79 runs. Due to useful contributions from the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, and Rohit helped India to win the match by 7 wickets. It meant that the series ended in a 1-1 tie. India was the happier of the two sides at the end of the series.
