Pakistan and New Zealand squared off against each other at Karachi for the third ODI on Thursday. The coin landed in New Zealand’s favour as they opted to bowl. Although, Pakistan lost Fakhar Zaman early after he made 19 off 26 balls with four fours,Β Imam-ul-Haq scored a pristine 90 off 107 balls with seven fours and one six. This knock from the left-hander held the Pakistan innings together. He was, eventually, dismissed by Adam Milne.
Coming in at number three, captain Babar Azam made 54 off 62 balls with three fours and one six. Matt Henry castled him when he tried to up the ante. Abdullah Shafique could not get going as he was caught by Tom Latham off Cole McConchie.
The right-hander could make only 19 off 23 balls with one six. Down the order, the Men in Green were helped by some vital contributions from Agha Salman, who made 31 off 29 balls with three fours. Salman was shown the door by Matt Henry, while Mohammad Rizwan-the Pakistan wicketkeeper was busy as usual.
He made a valuable 32 off 34 balls with one six. His stay was cut short when he was caught by McConchie off Adam Milne. Mohammad Nawaz and Shadab Khan gave some much needed firepower in the end and finished off the innings on a high note.
Nawaz made an unbeaten 11 off 9 balls with one four. Shadab made a quickfire unbeaten 21 off 10 balls with one four and two sixes. The Men in Green made 287-6 in their 50 overs.
In the second innings, Will Young and Tom Blundell got New Zealand off to a great start. Young made 33 off 41 balls with three fours before he was run out by Agha Salman.
Blundell made 65 off 78 balls with seven fours. Notably, he was also run out by Mohammad Wasim and Rizwan. Tom Latham came in at 4 and made 45 off 60 balls with three fours but could not kick on. McConchie impressed with the bat as well and made an unbeaten 64 off 45 balls with six fours and two sixes.
But, at the other end, wickets kept falling and he ran out of partners. At one point, New Zealand would have fancied getting the runs and chasing the target down but the Pakistan bowlers bowled well to get the Men in Green back into the game and take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the ODI series. New Zealand could make only 261 in their 50 overs and lost by 26 runs.

It takes lot of GUTS and TALENT to take your team to No.1 Rank on the ICC rankings even after many OPPONENT PLAYERS skip series against your team.
But King Babar has led this team from front despite knowing that he has to play against B/C teams everytime. The greatest. #PAKvsNZ pic.twitter.com/r1lHb03xHC
