India and Australia are locking horns in their ODI World Cup 2023 campaign opener at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Meanwhile, something else during the match attracted the attention apart from the cricket. It was none other than the famous streaker named Jarvo, who entered the ground during the India vs Australia clash.

Jarvo also met Virat Kohli before the security personnel escorted him outside the boundary area. He was also shown the exit gates by the Indian wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul when he entered the field.

The visuals of this incident are also making rounds on social media as soon as the news went viral on the X (formerly Twitter). Interestingly, it was not the first time Jarvo entered the ground during a match against Team India. Earlier, he had also infiltrated the playing area during India’s test match against England, in England.

Steve Smith and David Warner stabilise Australia after a shaky start

Speaking of the action of the match, Australia are batting first after winning the toss; they have scored 77 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 19 overs, having former skipper Steve Smith and star middle-order batter Marnus Labuschagne there in the middle on the individual scores of 34 and 2 runs, respectively. Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav have scalped one wicket each for India in the first innings so far.

Earlier, India and Australia were in action against each other in a three-match ODI series, in India just before the start of the ODI World Cup 2023. The hosts ended up winning the series by 2-1 with two straight and comfortable wins in the first two ODIs followed by a 66-run defeat in the third and last ODI of the series.

Following this match, India will lock horns with Afghanistan in the second match of their ODI World Cup 2023 campaign. Both teams will play this match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, in Delhi on Wednesday, October 11.
