It is quite rare when a star player like Virat Kohli had an off day in the field. The former Indian skipper had an off day both as a fielder and a batter against Bangladesh in Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on day 3 of the ongoing second Test against Bangladesh.

In the second Test against Bangladesh, India had a lead of 87 runs in the first innings. In their second innings, Bangladesh scored 231 and posted a target of 145 runs on a challenging pitch.

Virat Kohli had an off-day as a fielder as he failed to convert four half chances at slip. The spin bowlers were having a field day as the ball made batsmen dance. However, the lackluster fielding made the life of bowlers tough.

Amongst the four dropped chances, the notable was one of Litton Das. The right-handed batsman was on 20 when Kohli dropped the catch. The player went on to score 73 runs from 98 deliveries before getting dismissed.

Axar Patel was destroyer in chief for India as he picked three wickets whereas Mohammed Siraj and Ravichandran Ashwin picked a brace. Umesh Yadav and Jaydev Unadkat picked a wicket apiece to bundle out Bangladesh for 231.

While India are chasing 145, India have already lost four wickets for 45 runs. All the four batsmen, Shubhman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli were dismissed cheaply by the Bangladeshi bowlers. Virat Kohli had an off day with the bat as well as he was dismissed for one run. Before getting dismissed, he played 22 deliveries. Mehidy Hasan dismissed the former Indian team skipper.
