Probably a lesser number of people expected the match between the two teams to be one-sided. But in the end, it turned out to be one. India dominated Pakistan in Ahmedabad.

The Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first. Mohammad Siraj was a bit timid at the start with his lines. But on the other end, Bumrah was at his best as usual. The right-arm pacer set the tone for the match with his economical bowling. Siraj dismissed Abdullah Shafique. Hardik dismissed Imam-Ul-Haq and gave a crucial breakthrough to the Indian team.

Following the dismissal, there was a brief partnership between Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam, two of the best batters in Pakistan. In the first 29.2 overs, Pakistan was 155/2. What followed was an unbelievable collapse from the Pakistani lower middle order. Everyone just came in and was dismissed quickly. There was no clue whatsoever regarding the progression of the innings.
