‘Words can’t explain how happy I am’ -Fans rapt after reports of Lionel Messi leaving PSG at the end of the season surface online
It looks like Lionel Messi’s association with PSG has come to an end. It seems that the striker has appeared in his last game for PSG. There are reports stating that Messi is hard-nosed on moving back to Barcelona. This comes despite the club not being in the best financial position at present. As of now, Messi has been suspended by PSG for two weeks with no pay after he did not take part in the training session on Monday and missed it without taking permission.
Messi had gone to Saudi Arabia where he was fulfilling certain commitments in relation to being Saudi Arabia’s tourism ambassador. His trip to Saudi Arabia coincided when the PSG players had a day off after the club had lost 3-1 to Lorient. Messi’s punishment was as follows. He will not be allowed to use the facilities of the club and also will not be a part of the two Ligue 1 games against Ajaccio and Troyes.
There are reports of Saudi based club Al Hilal wanting to sign Lionel Messi on board
The recent developments point out that PSG do not want to have Messi in their fold when the next season begins. When Messi’s ban ends there will only be three fixtures remaining after which Messi’s focus will be on joining a new club come the start of the next season. There is a report from the Telegraph on Wednesday stating that Messi’s representatives were in talks with Saudi based club Al Hilal over a 442 million deal.
If the deal between Messi and Al Hilal goes through, then it will be more than what Al Hillal’s rival club Al Nassr paid in December in 2022 to bring on Cristiano Ronaldo. The former Manchester United player is as of now the world’s highest paid athlete. David Beckham’s Inter Miami have also been having talks with the Argentina striker to have him on board. Messi will have a plethora of options to choose from once his deal with PSG expires.
There are some reports stating that Messi could move back to Barcelona and play for the Spanish club for just a nominal fee given Barcelona’s financial constraints at present. All said and done, the ball is in Messi’s court to define his next chapter in his glorious football career.

Argentine journalists confirm:
– Lionel is a professional and did not violate the instructions, there was poor coordination by the club.– There was a two-day vacation planned in the team, and Messi traveled because of it.

Sounded like a matter of time based on where the relationship was headed. PSG changing their mind on his trip while he was on the plane and then suspending him screams crying over spilled milk.
