The first look video teaser for Rishab Shetty’s upcoming Kannada film ‘Kantara 2’, also known as ‘Kantara Legend: Chapter 1’, has just been released. The film is a prequel to the 2022 blockbuster ‘Kantara,’ a historical fantasy film about a legendary deity who takes human form to save his people from evil. The ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ video teaser depicts the legend’s origin story, which took place during the reign of the Kadamba Dynasty, an ancient royal family of Karnataka. The shots centre on a man wearing a Rudraksha (a sacred bead) necklace and wielding a Trishul (a three-pronged spear). The narrator claims to have a vision of the past, present, and future and asks the audience if they can see it as well.
One thing is certain about this ‘Kantara Legend: Chapter 1’ introduction video: it screams magnum opus, and Rishab Shetty is certain to recreate the magic that he created with the original and won universal acclaim. ‘Kantara Legend: Chapter 1’ will be available in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, Bangla, and English. The biggie is produced by Hombale Films, which is quickly becoming one of the country’s largest production companies.
