India are facing off New Zealand in the three-match T20I series after crushing the Tom Latham-led side in the ODIs 3-0, making a perfect start ahead of the 50-over World Cup set to take place in India later this year. The final T20I of the highly-competitive series will be played on February 1, Wednesday with it being tied at 1-1.

That being said, the former Pakistani cricketer Aaqib Javed opened up on the Indian team and said that the Pakistani team are far better than the Men in Blue. However, on the contrary, unlike India, the Men in Green lost to the Black Caps in their own backyard 1-2 despite winning the first ODI of the series, with the team at stake.

Javed was confident in his opinion as he claimed that the Indian team are no match for their rivals when it comes to the 50-over format. Further, the 50-year-old sent a clear warning to the Indian team as he backed his nation ahead of the 50-over World Cup. Javed claimed that the Men in Green would be undefeatable in India during the multinational tournament because of the talented pool.

Pakistan has always given India a tough time: Aaqib Javed

Further, Javed claimed that the Pakistani team gave a tough time to Rohit Sharma and his men in the past and added that they would continue to do so. The former Pakistani cricketer claimed that team Pakistan just need to put 300 runs on the board to win the game as they have talented bowlers like Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf and Shaheen Shah Afridi.

“Pakistan has always given India a tough time. When the Pakistan team goes to India for the World Cup, it will not face any problems in playing on the pitches there. Although recently India scored a lot of runs against New Zealand in the ODI series. But the bowling of Pakistan is not the bowling of New Zealand, so the Indian batsmen scored four hundred runs,” Javed was quoted as saying to GeoTv.

“Pakistan cricket team is better in ODI cricket as it has an advantage due to bowling. Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah are fully fit, so it will benefit the team. Pakistan has Shadab Khan along with Mohammad Nawaz in India, so there will be no need for fast bowling all-rounder. If Pakistan scores 300 runs, then it will be very difficult for the other team to chase it down,” he added.
