Actor and influencer Kusha Kapila was recently involved in a controversy when Bigg Boss OTT winner and YouTuber Elvish Yadav called her “Sasti Kareena Kapoor.” Kusha emphasised the significance of consent in her response, asserting that Elvish lacked the authority to use Kareena Kapoor Khan’s name without her consent. She denounced the stealing of Kareena’s name and underlined her position as the legitimate proprietor of her own identity.

Kusha Kapila laughed at the situation in an interview with The Lallantop, pointing out how ridiculous Elvish’s remark was and how it disregarded Kareena Kapoor Khan’s permission. She also made a funny allusion to a meme that was going around regarding Elvish’s influence, emphasising how ironic his actions were in the given situation.

Kusha Kapila drops truth bombs:

She asked, “What does this mean? Ask Kareena Kapoor first; she is the begum and she has not given her consent for this. How is her name allowed to be used anywhere? It is incorrect. Has anyone not seen the meme, No one has the right to say anything in front of Elvish. It goes something like this: ‘Ye Elvish bhai ke aage koi nahi bol sakta.'” Furthermore, Kusha Kapila disclosed that Elvish had lately extended a friendly gesture towards her, even in the midst of the controversy. She mentioned her Instagram block while narrating an instance in which Elvish engaged with her male co-stars.

When her male co-stars met Elvish Yadav, he told them, “Kusha ne abhi tak block kiya hai mujhe Instagram pe (Kusha has still blocked me on Instagram). Unhone dosti ka haath badhaya hai meri taraf (He has extended a hand of friendship).”

Originally starting out as lighthearted teasing, the conflict between the creators on TikTok and YouTube took a more serious turn when Elvish and Lakshay Chaudhary started focusing on female influencers, such as Kusha Kapila. Nonetheless, Kusha thoughtfully replied, addressing the overtly misogynistic undertones of their remarks and considering her own prior errors, like generalising men in an earlier video.

Apart from handling disputes on the internet, Kusha Kapila also provided an account of her career path, describing the difficulties she encounters as a digital artist who wants to pursue conventional acting roles. She talked about the challenges of going on an audition without depending on her online persona and thought back on the industry rejection she has faced in spite of her best efforts. She made special mention of her first movie role in Ghost Stories, which she got without going through an audition.
