India and South Africa locked horns with each other at Indore on October 4, Tuesday, and it was yet another run feast in the third T20I. South Africa won the toss and chose to bat. On a small ground and on a pitch that was going to be a nightmare for the bowlers, South Africa got off to a great start, and Quinton de Kock smashed a superb 68 from 43 balls with six fours and four sixes.

Temba Bavuma’s poor series ended as he fell to Umesh Yadav early and departed for just a paltry 3 off 8. Rilee Rossouw unlocked his beast mode and made amends for his low scores in the first two games. He came and whacked the Indian bowlers left, right, and centre in what was a superb exhibition of brute force and deft touches, which left the Indian bowlers nowhere to hide.

Rossouw used a combination of big hits on the leg side and also, and he played all kinds of shots on both sides of the wicket which left the Indian bowlers on a leather hunt. South Africa got the perfect finishing touch which was provided by Tristian Stubbs and David Miller who made 23 from 18 balls and 19 from just 5 balls with two boundaries and three maximums hit between them. This allowed South Africa to get to a huge total of 227-3 in their 20 overs.

The Indian bowlers did not help themselves as the bowling display was below-par on, and the South African batters ran riot in the death overs. The fielding was also not quite up to the mark as well which made matters worse.

In the second innings, South Africa were on song with the ball in hand as they put the Indian batters under their spell and did not allow them to break free. Dwaine Pretorius picked 3 wickets for 26 runs in his spell of 3.3 overs. Wayne Parnell, Lungi Ngidi, and Keshav Maharaj picked 2 wickets each. Other than Dinesh Karthik and Deepak Chahar, who scored 46 and 31 respectively, no one else got going. In the end, South Africa registered a comprehensive win of 49 runs.
