Watch:Alex Hales takes fans breath away with an unbelievable shot at ILT20

The Desert Vipers beat the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders by 7 wickets.

The 7th match in the International League T20 was played between the Desert Vipers and the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders. It was played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Desert Vipers won the toss and chose to bowl.

Though Brendon King sparkled for the Knight Riders at the top with 57 off 44 balls with five fours and two sixes, the rest of the batters could not get going. The Knight Riders could make only 133-8 in their 20 overs.

The second highest run scorer on the list was Charith Asalanka who made 26 off 21 balls with one four and one six.There were five batters who were out cheaply for single digit scorers.Wanindu Hasaranga was the wrecker-in chief for the Desert Vipers as he picked up 3-18 in his four over spell.Gus Atkinson picked up 2-35 in his four overs spell.

The Desert Vipers chased thr target down in 15.4 overs

The Desert Vipers had an easy outing in the chase as the target was a cakewalk for the Desert Vipers. Rohan Mustafa made a quickfire 23 off 11 balls with five fours he was sent back by Akeal Hosein and Alex Hales smashed the Knight Riders bowlers around and played a superb innings of 64 off 47 balls with seven fours and one six. He was out bowled bySunil Narine. 

During the course of Hales innings, He played an outrageous inside out shot which happened in the first ball of the second over. Lahiru Kumara bowled a full-length ball on middle stump, Alex Hales backed away and played an inside out shot over cover which went for a huge six. The pace of Kumara did not threaten Alex Hales one bit.

Sam Billings and Sherfane Rutherford provided the finishing touches for the Desert Vipers. Billings made 35 off 29 balls with two fours. Rutherford made 11 of 4 balls with one six which was the winning hit. The Vipers ended on 135-3. 

This gave a commanding seven wicket win to the Desert Vipers in the ILT20. The Vipers are in second position with two wins in two games with four points whereas the Knight Riders are languishing at the bottom of the table with three losses in three games. The Knight Riders are yet to register a win in the league.
