Virat Kohli along with Rohit Sharma was back for the final ODI being played at Rajkot. The Indian selectors had rested the batting stars for the first two matches. The former India skipper is scheduled to open the batting for India in the absence of Ishan Kishan.
Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to make use of the conditions by batting first. There were five changes made to the team. Mitchell Starc and Glenn Maxwell made their comebacks after their injury setbacks.
India made a lot of changes to the team. Washington Sundar was included in place of Ravichandran Ashwin who is being rested. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj also came in for Shardul Thakur and Mohammad Shami.
It is a hot day at Rajkot and this took a toll on both teams. The players had to call for constant refreshments during the course of the day. During one such break, Virat Kohli was seen in his elements.
The former India skipper was seen doing a little jig and having fun with Marnus Labuschagne. Virat Kohli can be seen laughing and smiling as he was seen goofing around with the Australian batter.

David Warner and Mitchell Marsh gave the Australian team a rapid start with the bat. The pair added 78 runs for the first wicket in just 8 overs. Warner got his 3rd half-century for the series but was out against the run of play. The Australian opener was out caught behind for 56 off Prasidh Krishna.
Mitchell Marsh was joined by Steve Smith as the pair continued to torment the Indian attack. The two batters added 137 runs for the 2nd wicket in just 113 balls. Kuldeep Yadav got the breakthrough when he had Marsh out for 96.
Steve Smith continued the run-scoring spree and was seen having no trouble on a flat track. Mohammad Siraj then got the wicket of Steve Smith out LBW for 74 off 61 balls with 8 fours and a six.
Both the teams will now play their respective warm–up games before the 2023 ODI World Cup. Rohit Sharma and Pat Cummins will face each other when the both the teams open their 2023 ODI World Cup campaign on 8th October.
