After their trip to Nainital, the celebrity couple returned back to Mumbai on Monday. Having been rested from the New Zealand tour, Kohli will return to the Indian side on the Bangladesh tour that is set to begin from 4th December. Ahead of the series, the star batter was seen training hard in the gym.

Kohli to return on the Bangladesh tour

After having a torrid time with the bat in 2022, Kohli finally returned to form as he finished as the second-highest run-scorer in Asia Cup 2022. He amassed 276 runs from five innings which also included his much-awaited 71st international hundred that he brought up after a gap of 1020 days against Afghanistan.

The modern great continued his brilliant form in the 20-20 World Cup as well finishing as the leading run-scorer of the tournament having 296 runs to his name from 6 games. He became the highest run-scorer in the history of the 20-20 World Cup surpassing Mahela Jayawardene. He also became the first batter to breach the 4,000 run mark in T20Is during the course of the tournament.

Despite Kohli’s marvellous form, India crashed out of the World Cup after a humiliating 10-wicket loss against England in the second semi-final of the mega event.

Meanwhile, after the completion of the ongoing New Zealand tour, India will be touring Bangladesh for three ODIs and two Tests starting 4th December. Having made a roaring comeback in the T20Is, Kohli will now be looking to return to his usual form in the ODIs and Tests as well.
