Watch: Virat Kohli cracks a joke at the paparazzi after they call Anushka Sharma ‘Sir’ instead of ‘Maa’m’
Virat Kohli likes to have a bit of fun at any time if given the opportunity. Kohli, along with his wife Anushka Sharma, recently hosted the Royal Challengers Bangalore side when they came to Mumbai. A hilarious incident between Kohli and the press took place which left him in splits. The former RCB skipper now lives in Mumbai. Kohli hails from Delhi and has represented the RCB franchise since 2008 in the Indian Premier League.
His restaurant One 8 Commune is one of the many ventures that Virat owns. The restaurant has struck a chord with the masses in Mumbai. It is a place which has seen a lot of celebrity parties. The power couple has also hosted a number of friends and celebs there. The couple addressed the press before they broke for dinner. One of the representatives mistakenly called Anushka Sharma ‘sir’ instead of ‘ma’am’. Virat Kohli was quick to pounce on this and he immediately joked saying, -“Virat ma’am bhi bolde” (Call me Virat ma’am).
Royal Challengers Bangalore are currently in seventh place on the points table this season

The press frantically apologised for the error as the couple had a fun moment at their expense. The restaurant that Kohli owns was once a bungalow owned by Kishore Kumar, the legendary singer. The restaurant is multi-cuisine and serves up great dishes. The place has become one of the great hangout spots in Mumbai. Kohli has been in good form in IPL 2023 so far. He has accumulated 420 runs in 11 matches with an average of 42. The same however cannot be said about RCB.
The Bold Army has not been able to get on a consistent run this season. RCB are languishing in seventh place on the points table at the moment. In 11 matches they have won five and lost six. They have been hit by a fair share of injuries. The middle order has not performed well for them this season. The bowling has looked lacklustre and has not been up to the mark.
RCB has to win all their remaining games to have any chances of making it to the playoffs. The franchise has not been able to find solutions to get over the dependence on Kohli, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell. If they want to turn the tables around they have to rally their troops and do well in their remaining games.
