India fought back in the T20I series to win it 2-1 against New Zealand. India went in with a ruthless approach and were too good for the Kiwis at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Men in Blue got to a big total of 234 runs on the board and then bundled out the blackcaps for 66 runs to record an emphatic victory of 168 runs.

After the game, some of the cricketers indulged in a fun act, which left the fans in splits. Shubman Gill took to Instagram to post a video of the same. Gill, along with Ishan Kishan and Yuzvendra Chahal, were seen recreating an audition from “Roadies”, a famous reality show.

Here is the video

Shubman Gill scored 126 off 63 balls against the Kiwis to help India win the third T20I

The trio were in a merry mood as Ishan stunned everyone in the video with his superb imitation of a gorilla. He was seen nailing the sound perfectly and also his antics entertained the fans thoroughly on social media. The cricketers are very social media savvy and their game has always been on point, which also serves as a gateway for fans to get to know the personality of the players.

In the match, the hero for India was Gill with the bat as he scored a whirlwind knock of 126 off 63 balls with 12 fours and seven sixes. This was the highest score by an Indian in T20 cricket as it surpassed Virat Kohli’s record of 122 off 61 balls against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2022.

He also became the fifth Indian to score a century in all formats for the Men in Blue. Gill recently scored his maiden Test century against Bangladesh which helped India take the Test series 2-0. He also became the youngest Indian batter to score a double hundred in ODIs against the black caps when he got the three-figure mark in Hyderabad.

Hardik Pandya had a great day with the ball as he picked up 4/16 in his four overs. New Zealand had scoreboard pressure and could not get going at all. They had one of their worst collapses in T20Is with the bat. India will now play the four-match Test series for the Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia.
