Watch: Tristan Stubbs smacks ball out of park in SA20 game vs Durban Super Giants
The SA20 is fast becoming the second-most liked league across the world after the Indian T20 League and the teams are leaving no stone unturned to create history by lifting the trophy in the initial season. On January 22, Sunday, Sunrisers Eastern Cape faced off against Durban Super Giants and it was the former who won the game after restricting the Super Giants to 86, who were chasing a target of 211.
During the first innings of the fiery contest, in the second ball of the 19th over, Tristan Stubbs smacked the ball off Wiaan Mulder out of the park and fans, who witnessed the might of the young batter, shared the video on the internet and made it a viral clip.

We played a really good game: Aiden Markram
As far as the match is concerned, it was Quinton de Kock who called it right at the toss and elected to field first. However, much to the dolefulness of the Super Giants’ pacer, the aggressive opener from England Adam Rossington, took the game away from them with his 30-ball 74, giving the Sunrisers a much-needed start early on in the innings.
While skipper Aiden Markram scored an unbeaten 44, Tristan Stubbs, on the other hand, provided the emphatic finish to help the Eastern Cape brigade put on the mammoth total at the end of the first innings. Roelof van der Merwe’s six-wicket haul ensured that the Super Giants were restricted within the 90-run mark, giving the Eastern Cape team the breakthrough.
“We played a really good game and I am very happy. Conditions were quite tough and we adjusted well. T20 cricket is where on a night, a guy can win you a game. We would like to restart again come Tuesday. It is a big game, we have to start from scratch and we would like to put a collective performance together. (On van der Merwe) He is a great character and his energy rubs off on everyone, his passion for the game is commendable,” Markram was quoted as saying in the post-match presentation.
