Watch: Tim David fine tunes power hitting ahead of the India series
Tim David is set to make his international debut for Australia in the three-match T20I series against India, starting on September 20. He is also named in the 20-20 World Cup squad. Meanwhile, ahead of the first T20I against the Men In Blue, David was seen practising power-hitting in the nets. The video of the practice session has been uploaded by cricket.com.au on Twitter.

Talking about Tim, he is known for his power-hitting in the shortest format of the game. In the 127 games he has played, he has a strike rate of 163.17, playing the role of a finisher.

Talking about his career, the 26-year-old made his debut for Singapore and has played 14 T20Is for them. In franchise cricket, he has played for Bangalore and Mumbai in the Indian T20 League. The former Singapore player has played for Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). In the Big Bash League (BBL), Tim has played for Hobart Hurricanes and Perth Scorchers.
During England’s T20 Blast, he played for Lancashire and helped the team reach the final. Talking about the India-Australia series, the three matches will be played on September 20, 23, and 25 in Mohali, Nagpur, and Hyderabad. These matches will work as a preparation for the upcoming 20-20 World Cup in Australia next month. Both teams will be looking to prepare themselves well before the mega event.
The Aussies will be the defending champions in the tournament, having won the tournament last year. On the other hand, India will be looking to put behind the disappointing campaign in the Asia Cup 2022, starting with this series. The series is expected to be a thrilling one as the number one T20I side (India) will take on the 20-20 World Cup holders.
