The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) has been a wonderful tournament to watch, given that it is one tournament that brings out the best talents from the country. The participation of Pakistani players in the league has kept the tournament in a better place and with every passing year, the contest is witnessing a significant increase in viewership. Among the players from Pakistan, one of them made a memorable feat on February 3, Friday. Shoaib Malik, the Pakistani veteran, who is playing for the Rangpur Riders, created history by becoming the third-only player to feature in 500 T20s during the game against Dhaka Dominators.

Just before the match started, Malik got a guard of honour from his Riders’ teammates, as the batter looked vibrant and full of gratitude for all that he has achieved over the years. The Riders’ players broke into applause when he went to the field, as he joined the list of Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo, the other two players to play 500 T20 games.
