Shadab Khan carried by his teammate after getting injured –

Pakistani player Shadab Khan got injured while playing in the national T20 tournament for his Rawalpindi side. The 25-year-old twisted his ankle and there was a stoppage in play for a few minutes.

Shadab Khan was seen getting on the back of his teammate as there was no stretcher present at the venue. This angered a lot of fans who criticized PCB for not even providing basic amenities.

Farid Khan who is a Pakistani journalist took to Twitter and vented his ire. “Are we in 1980? How are they taking Shadab Khan off the field? Koi stretcher nahi hay kya PCB ke pass? UBL complex bhi Karachi main hai, sukkur main toh nahi”

The leg-spin bowler isn’t part of the test match side which is in Australia for the three-match series. The form of Shadab Khan during the ODI World Cup 2023 was one of the reasons for their poor performances during the tournament.

In the three games in the T20 tournament that Shadab Khan has played so far, he has scored 43 runs and picked 3 wickets. It isn’t clear how bad the injury is and what the timeline of his return to cricket looks like.

PSL side Islamabad United took to Twitter and wrote “@76Shadabkhan was bowling brilliantly in the National T20 Cup, conceding only 7 in 2 overs before he was taken off the field. He twisted his ankle while fielding however initial reports suggest it is nothing serious”

Pakistan Cricket Team is set to take the field and play the only practice game which starts on Wednesday. Shan Masood and his side are set to play Prime Minister’s XI in Canberra before the 1st test in Perth.
