Australia is in South Africa currently playing their third ODI against the Proteas. They have won the first two ODIs of the five-match ODI series against the hosts. Batting first in this match, South Africa scored 338 runs losing 6 wickets in 50 overs. But the sight that caught everyone’s attention was a brilliant catch by Sean Abbott near the boundary ropes.

Abbott, running towards his left, took a sensational catch in the fourth delivery of the 47th over. Jansen, who was on strike, carved off the outside half of his bat to smash the ball. The ball stuck his left arm to complete an absolute beauty of a catch. The video of the catch has gone viral on social media. Yansen played an innings of 32 runs in 16 balls.

Aiden Markram scores a brilliant hundred

After South Africa was called to bat first in the third ODI, Aiden Markram’s magnificent unbeaten 102 and half centuries from Quinton de Kock and Temba Bavuma enabled them to achieve a difficult total of 338-6. When the home team reached 190-2 after 30 overs, they appeared to be on track, but Australia clawed their way back into the innings with accurate bowling and smart captaincy from Mitchell Marsh to restrict the home team to a chaseable total.

De Kock blasted 82 runs in just 77 deliveries, hitting 10 fours and two sixes as part of an opening partnership of 146 runs with Bavuma, who supported by scoring 57 runs. Markram smartly handled his innings after scoring a 49-ball fifty. then scored his next 52 runs off just 25 balls to give the South African innings a much-needed run. Reeza Hendricks contributed a slick 39 from 45 balls. Marco Jansen played a delightful cameo of 32 from only 16 balls.

South Africa made four changes to the starting XI and lost by 123 runs in the second match. The Australia side, already, clean swept the hosts in the three-match T20I series. The visitors however currently lead the 5-match series having won the first two ODIs with and currently on the top of the Men’s ODI ranking replacing Pakistan.
