The diehard fans of Chennai Super Kings are still in awe of their side after they won the fifth Indian Premier League title. The cricket-loving public of Tamil Nadu can’t get over the fact the CSK are once again Kings of the IPL. The MS Dhoni-led side created history at the Narendra Modi Stadium where CSK beat Gujarat Titans by five wickets. Ravindra Jadeja hit 10 runs off the last two balls to send a sea of yellow into happy tears.
After the game, another heartwarming gesture caught the eye of the fans. Ruturaj Gaikwad’s to-be wife Utkarsha Pawar broke into a big hug with MS Dhoni and then touched his feet. The gesture won the hearts of the fans. Gaikwad is set to marry Utkarsha on June 3 in a private ceremony. Utkarsha has played for Maharashtra in domestic cricket. She is a right-handed batter who also bowls fast. But it looks like she has ended her professional cricket career as she has not played a game in the last two years.

Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 590 runs for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2023
When it comes to Gaikwad, he had a wonderful IPL season for CSK. The right-hander had a fantastic partnership with Devon Conway up at the top of the franchise. In 16 games the Maharashtrian has scored 590 runs at an average of 42.14. He was also striking at a rate of 147.50. The 26-year-old has scored four half-centuries in the 2023 IPL season.
CSK had a great season as well. They finished second on the points table with eight wins and five losses. When it came to the playoffs, they beat GT by 15 runs in a nail-biting thriller and earned a straight spot in the final. Conway also has had a great season with the bat as he amassed 672 runs in 16 innings at a strike rate of 51.69. He hits six fifties in the 2023 IPL season.
CSK are now equal with Mumbai Indians in terms of IPL titles as both franchises have won five of them. CSK have also made it 12 times when it comes to the IPL playoffs. They have again shown why they are so consistent in the IPL with another breakout season.
