Rohit Sharma’s vintage knock of 65 runs in just 45 balls, his first half-century in the IPL after 25 innings, was the cornerstone of Mumbai’s successful chase of Delhi’s 172-run total. The victory was Mumbai Indians’ first of the tournament, after they had lost their opening match to Royal Challengers Bangalore. Delhi, on the other hand, suffered their fourth consecutive defeat in the IPL 2023.

As for the match, it was a last-ball thriller that was eventually won by the away side on the very last ball. Mumbai were able to chase down 172 in the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. This was their first win of the IPL 2023 as they had lost their first two matches against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings respectively. DC on the other hand remain winless in their four matches so far.
