India competed against New Zealand in the second match of the three-match series on January 21, Saturday and it was the Men in Blue who won the game with 8 wickets to spare on the back of the match-winning fifty from the captain Rohit Sharma. To add more, after being forced to bat first, the Kiwis were bundled out for 108 and it was a cakewalk for team India during the chase.
However, while Rohit’s fifty was one moment from the game that won the hearts, his gesture towards a young fan who invaded the pitch to meet him was another moment that stood out. As far as the incident is concerned, it happened after the fourth ball of the tenth over, when the Indian team were reeling at 51/0.
The young fan breached security, running towards the pitch to hug Rohit. Much to the surprise of the Indian fans, the security guards almost knocked the young fan out, only to be stopped by the Indian skipper later on. Fans, who took cognizance of the same, shared the video on the internet and made it go viral.

Could India whitewash Tom Latham and the men at home?
The final ODI will be played on Tuesday and the Indian team would look to clinch the win, whitewashing Kiwis. Tom Latham and his men would be hoping to prevent India from clinching the win in the final ODI, given that it would be a worse defeat for them to lose 3-0.
Post the conclusion of the second ODI, the Indian skipper Rohit said that it was a great win for them and hoped to carry on with the momentum in the final ODI as well. Further, Rohit said that the bowlers stepped up in the last five games and highlighted their importance in the approaching games as well.
“The last five games, bowlers have really stepped up. Whatever we have asked of them, they have stepped up and delivered. You don’t usually see this type of seam movement in India, you generally see it outside India. These guys have some serious skills, they work really hard and it’s great to see them being rewarded,” Rohit was quoted as saying.
