A video of Rohit Sharma asking for an explanation from Rishabh Pant for his bizarre dismissal against Pakistan has gone viral. The incident is from the first match of the Super Fours game between India and Pakistan, where Pant ended up scoring 14 from 12 balls before giving his wicket away to a reverse sweep. As soon as he returned to the dressing room, skipper Rohit Sharma gave a dressing down and was seen asking Pant the reason for his loose shot selection as can be seen in the video.

In this video, Pant can also be seen arguing with his skipper as to why he did play the shot. It must be noted that Pant and Dinesh Karthik are breathing down each other’s necks for a place in the playing eleven and the youngster will have to realize that the match against Pakistan was a chance to showcase his skills and cement his place in the side.
The much-criticized top-order batters finally came to the fore yesterday as India put up a stiff total of 181 for seven. Skipper Rohit Sharma, who scored 28, and KL Rahul, who scored 28, put up a great show in the Powerplay, while Virat Kohli, who made a brilliant 60, gave glimpses of his former self by playing one of his most crucial knocks in recent memory to take India to a good total of 181 on the board.

Having been given flak for their slow-going approach in the Powerplay, skipper Rohit made his intentions clear in the very first over when he ran down the track to Naseem Shah and got a boundary over cover point. It was followed by a trademark pull shot for a six.
