Star Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja suffered an injury during the Asia Cup 2022 in September. He had to undergo surgery on his knee before he could begin his rehab. Jadeja has been out of cricketing action ever since the intercontinental tournament. As a result, he was also ruled out of the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022.

The allrounder appears to be recovering well now that he has resumed training. On Wednesday, October 19, Jadeja posted a video of himself training. As part of his rehabilitation, the player can be seen doing some light running in the gym.

“The surgery was successful. There are many people to thank for their support and involvement – BCCI, my teammates, support staff, physios, doctors and the fans. I will start my rehab soon and try to get back to cricket soon as I can. Thank you to everyone for your kind wishes,” the player shared a message on social media after his surgery.

In the absence of their top all-rounder, India added Axar Patel into their lineup. In addition, the Men in Blue suffered another injury to star pacer, Jasprit Bumrah. Mohammed Shami was added to the team as his replacement.

In the meantime, the team led by Rohit Sharma will open their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on the 23rd of October. The iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) will host the mega clash. Pakistan dominated the game the last time these two teams met in the World Cup. Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam guided their team to a 10-wicket victory.

The Men in Green would look to replicate the same this time as well. India, on the other hand, will look to get their vengeance on the arch-rivals.
