Wednesday’s Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL) game in Guwahati against Punjab featured Rajasthan skipper Sanju Samson winning the toss and deciding to bowl first. Both teams’ starting lines had been the same as those from their previous game. It had rained nonstop last night, from approximately twelve o’clock until nearly the wee hours of the morning. The weather looked perfect by the time the game began, so Punjab faithful won’t be praying for another game that is ruined by rain.

The Rajasthan team will be depending on their nearly faultless pairings in almost every aspect of the contest to put up an additional dominant performance in the Indian Premier League competition against a strong Punjab team on Wednesday. They will be encouraged by Rajasthan’s convincing 72-run victory over Hyderabad, who were outperformed by the season’s runner-up in every aspect of the game.

Zimbabwean star Sikandar Raza struggled to get moving against Rajasthan Royals for the second straight game in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League. Raza’s chances of leaving his mark with the bat were dashed by Ravichandran Ashwin, an ace spinner, who castled him with a beauty.

Punjab was securely positioned at 158 for 2 when the right-handed batter entered the field in the 16th over. He had the ideal opportunity to demonstrate his abilities as a strong winner. He only played for two balls, though, as Ashwin sent the man back for one. The Rajasthan bowler did him dirty by bringing the carrom ball into play which was just too good for Raza.

Ravichandran Ashwin was brought back into the attack by skipper Sanju Samson to bowl the seventeenth over of the innings after going wicketless and giving up 19 runs in his initial three overs. The veteran spinner supported the choice by removing Raza off the bat after the first delivery. On a surface in which the dew has played a significant part, Punjab managed to score a massive total of 197.
