Barbados Royals took on Saint Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the 18th match of the Caribbean Premier League 2023. The game was played at the Kensington Oval on Sunday. Barbados Royals had a tournament to forget so far.

Rovman Powell’s led side was in the bottom two of the points table 5 points from six games. Saint Kitts and Nevis Patriots on the other hand had been at the bottom of the table just below the Royals.

The Patriots had played 7 games without winning any game and those points were on account of washout. The Patriots had already been knocked out of the tournament. Rovman Powell won the toss and chose to bowl first.

Burly 30-year-old Rahkeem Cornwall has been the sole bright spark for Barbados Royals this year. On Sunday the right-hander took it upon himself to keep the home team’s chances alive in the tournament.

Rahkeem Cornwall scored his first T20 century and single-handedly got the Royals over the line. Cornwall scored 102 off 48 balls with just four boundaries and 12 massive sixes in his knock. The 30-year-old Cornwall was adjudged the man of the match for his knock. The right-hander dedicated the ton to his son who was celebrating his birthday on Sunday.
