In the 64th match of the Indian Premier League 2023, Delhi Capitals beat Punjab Kings by 15 runs. In the game star India batter Prithvi Shaw made an amazing comeback as he struck a brilliant half-century while batting first for DC. Shaw in his innings scored 54 runs off 38 balls with the help of seven boundaries and a six. Before getting dismissed by Sam Curran he along with David Warner added 94 runs for the first wicket.

After reaching his half-century Shaw celebrated it in a very unique style. Shaw was seen making an ‘N’ design with his hands while holding the bat after scoring 50 runs. Meanwhile, a similar gesture was then copied by the rumoured girlfriend of the Mumbai-born hitter, actor and social media personality Nidhhi Tapadia. Tapadia tagged Prithvi Shaw in her Instagram stories and shared a video of the two performing the ‘N’ celebration.

Notably, Shaw had a poor season with Delhi Capitals this year in his first six games he scored just 47 runs at an average of less than 8. He was then dropped by team management and later made a comeback against PBKS after his team left out of the race playoffs. However, with this knock, Shaw might be feeling good as multiple things are going against him on and off the field.

“There was a pressure on me”, says Prithvi Shaw after winning against PBKS

After the game star opener joined his skipper David Warner for an interview. While talking with Warner Shaw revealed that there was pressure on him and the work he did in practice sessions took him today. He said, “The mindset was simple. After getting out in 3-4 games and then getting dropped, there was pressure on me I won’t lie. The work that I put in practice sessions is the thing which kept me going today.”

“It’s a bit late but we enjoyed the win. Everyone putting their hands up and not giving everything away. It’s still a win and everyone is smiling so really happy”, he added. Shaw further spoke about the poor Feilding and said, “It was a tough day for the fast bowlers, but the spinners bowled well on this wicket. Dropped catches happen in a game but maybe we were a bit too casual because we had scored 217 (213/2). A win is a win.”
