WATCH: Peter Handscomb takes stunning catch after a juggling effort to dismiss Shreyas Iyer in Delhi
India did not get off to the best of starts after they ended Day 1 on 21-0. The openers KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma batted with caution and took the score to 46-0 before fortunes changed for India and Nathan Lyon brought back Australia into the game. Lyon bowled a superb spell of spin bowling and picked up the wickets of Rahul, Rohit, Cheteshwar Pujara and Shreyas Iyer.
The wicket of Shreyas was the fourth wicket for Lyon and Shreyas flicked the ball off the back foot. The ball hit him on his arm and then rolled to his right leg, the ball bounces down and Handscomb had the presence of mind. He kept his eye on the ball and clutched it onto his body and manages to take the catch. It was a wonderful presence of mind from Handscomb.

Australia had a wonderful session and reduced India to 88-4 at Lunch
It was a wonderful bowling spell from Lyon as he used the conditions in Delhi to good effect and flummoxed the Indian batters. India did not know what hit them and have been struggling against spinners. The trend continues as the batters have been struggling against finger spinners and have not looked at their best against wrist spin as well.
In the first innings, India dismissed Australia for 263 on the back of Mohammed Shami’s 4-60 with the ball in his 14.4 over spell. Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja picked up 3-57 and 3-68 from their respective 21-over spells. The best batters for Australia were Usman Khawaja, who made 81 off 125 balls, with 12 fours and one six and Handscomb who made 72 off 142 balls, with nine fours.
India won the Test at Nagpur after bundling out Australia for 177 in the first innings. When India were in a precarious position in the second innings, they were helped by Rohit who scored 120 off 212 balls and Jadeja made 70 off 185 balls with nine fours. Axar Patel also made 84 off 174 balls with 10 fours and one six. India won by an innings and 132 runs.
