The Eliminator took place between the MI Emirates and Dubai Capitals at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. The Emirates won the toss and chose to bowl. The Capitals got off to a sedate start and lost Robin Uthappa early as he departed for just 6 off 8 balls. George Munsey made 51 off 43 balls with six fours and one six.

Sikandar Raza made 38 off 34 balls with four fours and Rowman Powell made 30 off 22 balls with three sixes. Trent Boult picked up 19-2 in his four overs and Rashid Khan picked up 2-20 in his four overs. They were the most successful bowlers for the Emirates. The Capitals ended on 151-5 in their 20 overs.

In the run chase, opening batter Muhammad Wassem made 2 off 3 balls and fell early. Lorcan Tucker was the second wicket to fall at 48 after he made 10 off 16 balls with one four. But from there on, it was all about Andre Fletcher, who made 68 off 45 balls with four fours and four sixes.
