The game of cricket has loyal super fans who come and watch the sport of cricket passionately and very intricately. They are people who come to the stadiums irrespective of their age. They have pure love for the game. This has been happening in the gentlemen’s game for decades and it continues to happen now.
There have been superfans in the past, such as Chaha from Pakistan who used to come to every Pakistan match possible, Percy uncle from Sri Lanka who used to be there all the time in all of Sri Lanka’s fixtures waving the Lankan flag with full energy and enthusiasm and also Sugumar from India who is an India Superfan and also a loyal follower of Bangalore in the Indian T20 League.
They have unbridled joy in their faces and not a negative bone in their body. They are always very energetic and optimistic. A similar fan incident occurred in the Asia Cup encounter between Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
This incident one can presume, happened at the end of the match. There was a lady who was in her late age, she was disabled and was wheelchair bound. She was a fan from Afghanistan and she could be seen coming to the game, with some people to watch the encounter. She was passionately waving the flag of Afghanistan and some of the Afghan players including Mohammed Nabi touched her feet and paid respects to her. She blessed the players who are seen in the video after they paid their respects to her. The players were seen interacting with her very warmly.

Coming to the Match, Afghanistan played beautifully to record their second win on the trot in this edition of the Asia Cup. They restricted Bangladesh to a paltry 127 for the loss of 7 wickets, in the chase, at 62-3, when it looked like the match could go either way, Najibullah Zadran played a counter-attacking knock of 43 from 17 balls to get Afghanistan the victory. They got there in the end with nine balls left.
