Watch- Mitchell Starc bamboozles batter and umpire with incredible swing bowling in Aus vs SA 2nd Test
A fast bowler bowing at his peak is one of the best sights of cricket. A bowler swinging the ball while a hapless batter tries to save his wickets gets all cricket fans going. It is one of the very few instances when a bowler is on top of the batter.
Something like this was seen in the ongoing Test match between Australia vs South Africa. Mitchell Starc one of the finest bowlers of the current generation bowled a peach of a delivery that bamboozled not just the batter or the umpire but the entirety of the viewers as well.
Starc bowled the delivery to Teunis de Bruyn at the end of Day 3. Bowled from over the wicket, the ball swung from the off stump to the leg stump and moved away from the wicket. Druyn was totally outfoxed by the delivery and missed the line of the ball altogether. The ball hit his pads and understandably Australian players called for an out.
Umpire gave it an out but the South African batter called for review right away. What appeared to be a certain LBW in real-time turned out to be missing the leg stump.

Even fans on social media were impressed by Mitchell Starc’s bowl. A user by the name Anish Kumar Tripathy wrote, “Starc bowling so flawlessly even with a potentially broken finder. What a legend.”
Other users also hailed the Australian bowler as, “Sir Starc” or “That’s why he is Starc.”
As for the game, it is heavily placed in Australia’s favour after they posted a humongous total of 575/8 in their first innings. David Warner who was playing in his 100th Test match brought a sensational double century against the Proteas. Middle-order batter Alex Carey also came up with a century knock helping his team to a massive total.
In response, the visitors are 15/1 and looking straight in the face of defeat.
