Watch: Manchester United fans hold thunderous protests at Old Trafford, demand that Glazers make full sale of the club
Ahead of Manchester United’s clash against Ashton Villa. Fans from United sparked a large protest at Old Trafford on Sunday. They put out a huge protest outside the stadium against the Glazers who are the current owners of United. They then demanded a full sale of the club and that they wanted the Glazers to scram. They were loud and resounding chants of “We want Glazers out,” and “full sale only.”
The fans wanted to send out a hard-hitting message to the American bigwigs and are wanting to Boycott the league fixture against Aston Villa until the 18th minute inside the stadium. The fans have also strategically placed anti-Glazers banners and flags in every nook and corner of the stadium. The Glazers have been in possession of the club since 2005. If the allegations are correct, then the Glazers are still likely to call the shots after making a partial sale of the club. This strategy has made the fans come up with an uprising.

The fans have categorically demanded that they want the full sale of the club and will not settle for anything less than that. Sheikh Jassim the hotshot banker from Qatar and also Ineos Group which is in the hands of Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Sir Jim is one of the wealthiest men in England. These two have put out their bids and are frontrunners to get a big stake in the club. Currently, 69 per cent of United’s shares rest in the hands of the Glazers.
The huge ocean of United fans has been protesting for a long period. The fans showed their anger and a sense of resentment to the owners in a game in 2021 against Liverpool at Old Trafford. When the match took place between the two teams in 2021, a huge protest was made by a large fan group before the start of the game. They created a huge ruckus in the changing rooms and also on the pitch. When this happened, the match had a delayed start because of the agitation from the fans.
