India’s loss against Australia in the final of the ODI World Cup 2023 was unexpected. Given how India had played in the tournament until the final, they were the favourites to beat Australia in the final game. As it turned out, India was hammered by Australia at the biggest stage in cricket in the Sunday final. Australia totally outperformed the hosts in all three departments of the game to claim their record sixth title win in the history of the World Cup.
Notably, the Indian fans in the stadium were totally shattered. They were left with pain, sorrow, and sadness all around. However, Pat Cummins, in the pre-match conference, mentioned that Australia would like to silence the Indian crowd in Ahmedabad. As fate turned out, Australia totally silenced India and gave them a shock. In addition, the match was a one-sided one, and Australia dominated it for the most part.
However, India hadn’t lost a match in the tournament until the finals. In 10 matches, India won all ten in a row without breaking a sweat. All their players seemed to be in good form. In the final, many of them struggled. In the middle-overs phase, India lost the match in both batting and bowling. With the bat, India played timidly in the middle overs. After claiming three early wickets, India couldn’t break the partnership of Marnus Labuschagne and Travis Head.

However, in one of the viral videos on the internet, a small child was seen crying after the loss of India. The mother of this kid was seen consoling the little one. Fans reacted with sympathy for the kid. Notably, the video saw sad emojis and messages from fellow Indian fans, who also suffered heartbreaks in the match. India lost the match by a big margin, which hurt the fans a lot, as they expected at least a fight from the home team.
