WATCH: Kieron Pollard smashes 4 massive sixes against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in CPL 2023

On 28 August 2023, Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) locked horns with St Kitts and Nevis Patriots (SKN) in the 12th match of the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Both teams were looking for their first win this season and TKR managed to come out victorious by six wickets. Nicholas Pooran won the Player of the Match.
But, from that match, a video went viral where TKR skipper, Kieron Pollard was seen hitting four consecutive sixes against SKN’s Izharulhaq Naveed. The incident took place during the 15th over when TKR needed 59 runs from six overs. Pollard hit four massive sixes and three of them were found crossing the 100-m margin.

Speaking of the match, SKN batted first and scored 178 runs for five wickets in 20 overs. In reply, TKR chased down the target with ease in 17.1 overs with six wickets in hand, Nicholas Pooran scored 61 runs off 32 balls, including five fours and four sixes. Pollard remained not out on 37* runs off 16 balls, including five sixes while Andre Russell also scored 23* runs off eight balls, including two fours and two sixes.
After the victory, Pollard said: “(On how satisfied he is with the win) Very satisfying. They got off to a flyer but we sort of expected that. Once we got a couple of wickets and the field was spread, we kept things in control. (On the over-rate penalties) To be honest, it will take away the hard work everyone has done (prior to the penalties).”
“We are like the pawns and we are going to do what we are told. We are going to play as fast as we can. If you are penalized for 30-45 seconds in a tournament like this, it is absolutely ridiculous. I liked how we approached it (the run-chase). Pooran has been doing well (at 3). Once you have wickets in hand on a ground like this, it is tough to defend,” Pollard concluded.
