A lot is going on in the world of Basketball as the Western Conference finals is taking place. The Denver Nuggets who were captained by Nikola Jokic took a decisive 1-0 lead against LeBron James Los Angeles Lakers.

This happened after game had taken place at the ball arena on Tuesday night. In the post-match press conference, Nuggets player Kentavious Caldwell-Pope spoke. He was LeBron James teammate in the 2018-19 season and 2019-20 season. The two combined well together to bring home a title in 2020.

He elaborated about the amount of sameness that existed between Jokic and James. The Lakers and Nuggets were almost neck and neck with each other. But the main difference between the two was the strong 18-point lead that put the Nuggets in front.

This helped the Nuggets emerge victorious in the first playoff fixture against the LA Lakers. In a tense finish, the Nuggets beat the Lakers 132-126. Jokic had a very unique record to his name after the game finished.

The two teams will square for game two on Thursday

He became the first player in the short clock era since 1955 to record 30+points and also 20+ rebounds and 10+ assists. This amazing feat happened in a playoff game where he shot 70% from the field. It was a magnificent effort from him. Jokic got a triple double in his third straight playoff game, but apart from that there were other significance contributions which included Caldwell-Pope and Jamal Murray got together and scored 52 points eight assists and five steals to help their side bag the win.

After the match ended, he talked about the similarities between the two players but also highlighted one big difference. He said, “I feel like the only difference is that Bron can jump higher than Jokic.” When we talk about the game, 40 points were scored by Anthony Davis who was in red hot form. The Lakers center managed 10 rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Game 2 will be played between the two teams which will take place on Thursday in Denver at the ball arena on May 18.
