There’s a question that makes every cricket fan wonder! What if the top players from the same country played against each other? What it would’ve been like if Ricky Ponting faced Shane Warne in a crunch situation of the game? What if Viv Richards had to face the legendary West Indies Pace quartet?

How would Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh plan to bowl against Sachin Tendulkar? Thanks to the Indian T20 league, we have seen many greats of the 21st century play against each other. But there are some battles that don’t take place even in the Indian T20 league as countrymen play for the same team.

One of these battles that fans would love to watch is between Indian Captain Rohit Sharma and the Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah. The battle between the two hasn’t happened yet as the two star players represent the same franchise in the Indian T20 league. The Indian fans were finally treated with this mouth-watering battle as the duo clashed against each other in the ongoing warm-up game between India and Leicestershire.

During the innings, one of the deliveries of Bumrah hit Rohit in the box and Sharma was seen in a bit of discomfort after the delivery. The Indian physio immediately ran out onto the pitch to see if Rohit was okay and he seemed fine. Pant and Shubman Gill also walked up to Rohit and shared a light moment as they both saw the funny side of it. Along with Bumrah, Cheteshwar Pujara, Prasidh Krishna and Rishabh Pant are playing from Leicestershire in the warm-up game.

India have lost 4 wickets for the score of 81 after 23 overs with Rohit, Gill, Vihari and Iyer (who bagged a duck) back in the pavilion. India only have the ongoing 4-day warm-up game to get themselves ready for the rescheduled fifth Test match. India are leading the series by 2-1 and are eager to win their 4th series in England after 15 years.
