WATCH: India and Pakistan players meet each other ahead of Asia Cup clash
Ahead of the big clash between India and Pakistan, a video has gone viral on the internet where the players from both sides were seen greeting each other. Some of the biggest cricket players in the world currently were seen having some funny banters with each other. The players from both teams met each other and had a laugh ahead of the big clash between the two teams.
The Indian and Pakistani players met each other after their practice session in Kandy. The likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Mohammad Siraj, Haris Rauf, Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, and Shaheen Afridi were seen interacting with each other in the video uploaded by Pakistan Cricket on their social media handles. The fans were excited for the meeting of their favorite players ahead of the big game.
Change in attitude of the players from India and Pakistan
Among the fans, the rivalry is still intact. The fans regularly try to create heated moments against each other while talking about the clashes of India and Pakistan with each other in cricket. It probably has to do with how the Pakistan vs. India matches were in the past. But things seem to have changed in the recent past and present, as the players from both sides seem to have taken a different route.
In the past, the rivalry between India and Pakistan was like fire vs. fire. But in the recent past, the players from both teams have been friendly with each other, both on and off the field. In the past, things were not that way. Off the field, there was respect and admiration for the players among each other. But on the field, there was proper rivalry among the players.
The change in attitude has probably been due to the fact that the players do not face each other often. When they do, it becomes obvious to meet each other as friends, rather than as players who take on each other on the cricket field. The fans seem to be not liking the attitude of the players!
