Arshdeep Singh, the willy left armer, has made everyone take notice of his pace and variations in recent times. The man with the tall frame is a product of Punjab and has represented the Punjab franchise in the Indian T20 League.

Many have said that Arshdeep’s ability to bowl his variations with accuracy and pace are his biggest plus points. The Punjab pacer thinks one step ahead of the batter and has the ability to understand what the batter is doing. This in turn helps him to plan on how to bowl to the batsman which leads the batter into giving his wicket.

When Arshdeep Singh’s name was announced in the 20-20 World Cup, it was a watery-eyed moment for his parents as this is the first big-ticket tournament that he will represent for India. It was a proud moment for his parents as their years of hard work and the support that they gave to their son bore fruit.

Here’s what Arshdeep Singh’s parents had to say after the pacer’s inclusion in the World Cup squad:

“It is a very proud moment for us. It is a very big opportunity to get selected for the T20 World Cup squad “, Arshdeep Singh’s father said.

Arshdeep Singh was born on 5th February 1999. He made his list A debut for Punjab in 2018-2019. Before that, he was a part of the squad for the 2018 under-19 cricket World Cup. He made his debut in the T20I format on 7th July 2022 in the England series that took place in England.

His T20 career stats make for impressive reading as he has picked up fourteen wickets in the eleven matches that he has played at an average of 20.14 and at a strike rate of 16.35. He has best bowling figures of 3 for 12.
