Major League Cricket has made great inroads into the USA as the American public has enjoyed the amazing games that have unfolded in the league. The 11th match took place between San Francisco Unicorns and Washington Freedom. The Unicorns won the toss and opted to bowl. Washington Freedom made 133-8 in their 20 overs. Freedom got their largely due to Moises Henriques who made 30 off 27 balls with three fours. Obus Pienaar hit 29 off 28 balls with one four and one six. Haris Rauf was the best bowler for the Unicorns as he picked up 3-20 in his four overs.

In the second innings, Glenn Philips was extraordinary on the field as he took four catches in the second innings to dismiss Finn Allen, Matthew Wade, Corey Anderson and Rauf. The Unicorns could not get going as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Saurabh Netravalkar finished with very impressive bowling figures of 6-9 in his spell of 3.5 overs.

Philips has shown his ability in all facets. The New Zealander is someone who can bat, bowl if required, and also keep wickets and field in the outfield. Even in the Indian Premier League, he showed his big-hitting prowess in an unbelievable match for Sunriders Hyderabad (SRH) against Rajasthan Royals (RR) which was won off the last ball by SRH.

The left-arm seamer picked up the wickets of Wade, Marcus Stonis, and Shadab Khan. In the last over when they needed 31 runs to win Netravalkar came back in his last over and picked up Chaitanya Bishnoi, Rauf, and Liam Plunkett. It was a great performance by Freedom as they picked up their second win on the bounce in MLC.

Freedom will go up against MI New York in their next game. On the other hand, when we talk about Unicorns, they will lock hirn with Texas Super Kings in their next game.
