The ninth season of the Indian Super League (ISL) has been a complete entertainer as fans have got to see some riveting football action. And November 11, Friday was no different as Bengaluru FC and East Bengal FC faced off against each other. While the crowd attended the mouth-watering affair at Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru, a fight erupted between the fans of the two teams. The video of the incident is going viral on social media.

In the video, one person can be seen climbing up the stairs and rushing to hit another person sitting harmlessly, as it seemed. Both are seen getting involved in a physical fight as one is seen throwing punches at the other.

According to some fans in the stadium, there were a few drunk Bengaluru FC fans who were creating a ruckus in the crowd. They got angered seeing an East Bengal FC fan cheering his team whole-heartedly which led to a verbal battle between the two parties involved, and they were later seen hurling abuses at each other. A few seconds later, the verbal duel became intense and turned into a physical fight as the Bengal fan was beaten by three Bengaluru fans.

A person present in the stadium revealed that the East Bengal FC fan was left brutally injured after the fight as he was seen bleeding from his mouth. He immediately left the place and the drunk fans were also not found anywhere after the fight was over.

Coming back to the match, Bengaluru FC were beaten by East Bengal FC by 1-0. It was a must-win game for both sides to keep their hopes of reaching playoffs alive. Cleiton Silva netted the ball in the 69th minute to give his side a 1-0 lead. It was one of the easiest goals in Cleiton’s career as he just had to tap the ball into an open net.

East Bengal FC had a few more chances to increase their lead but failed to make use of the chances that came their way. Bengaluru FC also couldn’t level the score as they failed to convert several opportunities. The win helped East Bengal Fc to the eighth spot in the league table with six points from as many games. Bengaluru FC dropped to the ninth spot after their defeat.
