WATCH: Dubai Capitals’ Sikandar Raza gets out in bizarre manner against Sharjah Warriors in ILT20 2024

Zimbabwe international and Dubai Capitals player Sikandar Raza played a wonderful cameo against Sharjah Warriors in the ongoing ILT20 2024 match. Batting number at number five, the right-hander hit 48 off 23 balls including three fours and three sixes. However, Raza’s innings ended bizarrely. The Zimbabwe player tried to a pull shot against Daniel Sams. However, the ball came slowly hit his glove and went onto the stumps.

Meanwhile, talking about the game, the home team, the Capitals was asked to bat first. They had a poor start as they lost three wickets for 51 runs. The top-order consisting of skipper David Warner (20), Rahmanullah Gurbaz (15), and Jake Fraser-McGurk (14) lost their wickets at this stage. At this stage, the likes of Sam Billings (52) and Raza (48) put together 81 runs before the latter got out.

Former West Indies skipper Jason Holder (15) played a cameo and helped the team reach 170/7. For the Yellow Brigade, Sams took three wickets while Chris Woakes and Maheesh Theekshana took two wickets each. In reply, the visitors lost three wickets for 44 runs. The likes of Johnson Charles and Lewis Gregory put together 71 runs before the latter got out at the time of writing. The Warriors are in a great position to win the game as they have amassed 115/4 in 12.2 overs.

Notably, Delhi Capitals’ subsidiaries, Dubai and Pretoria are in action at the time of writing. The SA20 side, Pretoria was bowled out for 52 runs. At the time of writing, the defending champion, Sunrisers Eastern Cape needs three runs to win.
