Watch: Danny Morrison lifts anchor Erin Holland on his lap before the start of PSL game

The Pakistan Super League has been a great tournament so far. The clashes have been riveting and very exciting to watch. While the contest between bat and ball remains fierce, there have been other antics in the league that have made the tournament interesting to watch. Former New Zealand commentator Danny Morrison, recently, grabbed headlines for doing something that fans shouldn’t really be surprised of. 

Morrison lifted presenter Erin Holland on his lap and gave her a spin which was caught on camera and left the commentators in splits. The incident took place in the match between Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United. When the fans saw this moment, they were laughing out loud. Morrison has been famous for his commentary and has often provided a different edge to it.

Morrison has been a great face in world commentary and goes around broadcasting for various T20 Leagues around the world. He is very famous for his energy in the commentary box and also uses a lot of light-hearted jokes and acronyms in commentary such as GG for Gautam Gambhir and DD for Delhi Daredevils.  

Holland herself put out the video of the incident in a tweet, with the caption: “Love ya uncle @SteelyDan66 @thePSLt20”.

In reply, Morrison wrote: “Just keeping you on your toes Mrs Cutting!!! #PSL8”.

Speaking about the match, Gladiators put up a total of 179-6 in the first innings. For Gladiators, the top batters were Mohammed Nawaz, who made 52 off 44 balls, and Najibullah Zadran, who made 59 off 34 balls with five fours and three sixes. In the end, the total didn’t prove enough.

In the chase, United were led by Colin Munro, scoring 63 off 29 balls with five fours and four sixes. Azam Khan made 35 off 25 balls with two fours and two sixes. Faheem Ashraf made 39 off 31 balls with six fours. This helped United to get to 183-8 and earn a win by 2 wickets in a closely fought encounter.
